Description
Venture General Contracting is looking for a detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to support jobsite safety, keep safety documentation organized, and help project teams follow Venture's safety standards while building a career in construction safety.
The annual compensation range for this position is: $70,000 - $85,000.
Build with Venture
At Venture, construction is about more than completing great projects. It is about the relationships we build along the way, with our teams, our clients, our design partners, and our subcontractor partners.
We're driven by three things: strong relationships, a commitment to getting better, and a genuine passion for the work. We value people who bring ideas to the table, challenge us to improve, collaborate across teams, and know that working hard and enjoying the people you work with can go hand in hand.
The Opportunity
As a Safety Coordinator, you'll work under the guidance of the Field Safety Manager to support Venture's company-wide safety program and site-specific safety plans. You'll help monitor jobsite conditions, prepare safety records, and follow up on corrective actions. This is an early-career role focused on learning, communicating concerns promptly, and completing assigned work reliably.
What You'll Own
Field Safety & Site-Specific Plans
Support implementation and monitoring of Venture's safety program and site-specific safety plans under the Field Safety Manager's direction.
Participate in jobsite safety walks, document observations, and promptly report unsafe conditions or concerns to the Safety Team and project team.
Help prepare, update, distribute, and communicate approved site-specific safety plan materials.
Documentation, Communication & Follow-Through
Maintain organized safety records and assist with reports on safety observations, project safety performance, and open items.
Assist with incident documentation and gather information for the Field Safety Manager to review, including first aid cases and property or equipment damage.
Track corrective actions, follow up with project teams, and help communicate approved safety updates. Escalate incomplete items or questions promptly.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in a safety-related discipline preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Prior safety or construction experience preferred; relevant internships, coursework, or field experience will be considered.
Basic understanding of construction safety and a willingness to develop working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, DOL, WAC, and other applicable safety requirements.
Clear verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with project teams and subcontractors.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and mobile technologies.
Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through, with a willingness to ask questions and seek guidance promptly.
First Aid and CPR certification preferred. Professional safety certifications are a plus, but not required.
