Baptist Medical Center is hiring a Mental Health Therapist to join our Behavioral Health team. 

This is a Full Time Day hybrid opportunity working 2 days in office and 3 days remote at our Baptist Tapestry park campus.

 

At Baptist Health, our Mental Health Therapist focus on the evaluation, treatment, and support of the mental and emotional well-being of older adults often dealing with complex issues such as dementia, depression, anxiety, grief, or behavioral disturbances linked to cognitive decline or chronic illness. Our Mental Health Therapists conduct intakes, assign diagnoses, and develop treatment plan for patients referred for mental health services. Provide treatment that is clinically necessary and evidence-based. Complete authorization requests as needed and maintain up-to-date medical records. Maintain state professional licensure and credentialing with insurance panels. Ability to develop rapport with patients; assess and diagnose patients using DSM criteria; develop a treatment plan; document treatment progress in keeping with Joint Commission standards; efficient use of EMR.

As a Mental Health Therapist, your responsibilities will include: 

• Conducting intake and assessment
• Assigning diagnoses and develop treatment plan for patients referred for mental health services.
• Providing treatment that is clinically necessary and evidence-based.
• Completing authorization requests as needed and maintain up-to-date medical records.
• Maintaining state professional licensure and credentialing with insurance panels.
• Ability to develop rapport with patients
• Assessing and diagnose patients using DSM criteria
• Developing a treatment plan
• Documenting treatment progress in keeping with Joint Commission standards
• Efficient use of EMR

 

** A valid Florida LCSW/LMHC/LMFT is required for this role, registered interns will not be considered**

 

Experience Requirements:

• Clinical experience 1-2 years

 

Education and Credential Requirements:

• Master's degree (MS/MA)
• Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
