Responsibilities & Requirements
The Mental Health Tech supports patient care and safety by monitoring, assisting, and engaging individuals receiving behavioral health services. This role provides direct support with daily living activities, therapeutic interventions, mental health group facilitation, and crisis response to promote a safe and therapeutic environment. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year into psych related field of study and/or 6 months experience in a psych related field
Preferred Qualifications
Postsecondary certificate or associate degree in mental health technology, psychology, or a related field. Six months or more of experience in a mental health, behavioral health, or healthcare environment. Certification as a Mental Health Technician (e.g., Certified Mental Health Technician credential) preferred.
