That means you will ensure that facilities provided are well maintained, regulation/procedure are in place and implemented, hazards/aspects assessments are conducted, the accident both caused by unsafe acts and conditions are reduced and energy and waste are driven down.

How you will contribute

You will:

• Assist and lead the cultural transformation regarding HSE to help lead plant to achieve Zero accidents and Incidents
• Be responsible for coordinating and overseeing implementation of all Health & Safety programs and processes
• Participate in investigations to facilitate closure of identified non-conformances
• Provide Health and Safety expertise for the plant for all new projects and change management activities
• Follow up on non-conformances and develops the systems to resolve them based on root cause analysis
• Maintain an up-to-date incident reporting system, assist with investigating incidents in conjunction with the HSE Pillar team/safety committee and drive the completion of corrective actions to eliminate root causes/reoccurrence
• Develop technical guidance programs to identify and remove physical hazards`

• Experience in Environmental Health and Safety
• Must have completed Environmental Health and Safety training in areas such as OSHA, EPA, DNREC
• Experience in safety, and/or environmental technical standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels
• Understanding and knowledge of regulatory reports and compliances including experience with ISO

More about this role

What you need to know about this position:

Health, Safety & Environment Expertise

• 5+ years of experience as a Health, Safety & Environment practitioner within food manufacturing, or large-scale warehouse/logistics operations.

• Solid knowledge of occupational health programs (ergonomics) and environmental management (waste)

• Proven ability to manage critical risks in complex environments

Leadership & Team Management

• Demonstrated experience leading and developing HS&E teams (support team and technicians,) across multiple areas including external operations.

• Ability to influence, coach, and build safety culture among operational leaders, coordinators and frontline teams without direct authority.

Change Management & Project Management

• Proven experience leading HS&E improvement projects from concept to execution (infrastructure upgrades, engineering controls, technology implementation).

• Ability to manage scope, timeline, budget, and stakeholders while ensuring safety-by-design principles.

• Demonstrated change management skills to drive transformation in safety behaviors, systems, and governance standards.

Decision-Making & Autonomy

• Proven ability to make autonomous, data-driven decisions to protect people and warehouses operations process.

• Confidence to stop work, escalate critical situations, and enforce Safety Principles and Life Saving Rules regardless of operational impact.

• Strategic mindset to balance safety requirements with business objectives.

Mondelez International Internal

Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Excellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levels—from warehouse floor operators to site leadership and corporate teams.

• Ability to present HS&E performance, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior management.

• Strong collaboration skills to work across functions (Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, HR) and with external contractors and regulatory bodies.

• Bilingual communication to interact with global and regional teams.
