Responsibilities

The Industrial Sewer will be responsible for sewing filter bags used on the FLEXSTORM product line

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Operate industrial sewing machines to join pre-cut patterns; align materials and complete filter bag sewing on 5 thread overlocking and single needle walking foot machines.
• Create new and custom bag patterns for non-stocked sizes.
• Cut bag patterns of multiple materials and layers using hand held rotary blade.
• Report any equipment or safety concerns immediately to assure a safe work environment.
• Follow production schedules and priorities.
• Monitor and maintain stock bag inventory levels and communicate daily with shop supervisor.
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
• Understand and practice ADS CORE VALUES.

Job Skills:

This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:

• Inspect parts during assembly and upon completion to assure compliance with established product quality criteria.
• Speed and Accuracy operating all sewing equipment
• Make minor repairs to assigned machines.
• Ability to work in high pressure situations
• Adjust machines to stitch various types of fabrics.

Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Preferred Experience:

• 2-5 years experience operating heavy duty industrial walking foot sewing machines

Physical Requirements:

• Be capable of lifting 40 lb 4’ long rolls of fabric onto cutting racks at shoulder height

Hourly Range:$19.80-$25.45Individual pay may vary and is determined by work location, shift, and factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
