Service Coordinator – Multifamily Property Management
Customer Service | Maintenance Coordination | Bilingual Spanish Preferred
A well-established, family-owned multifamily property management company is seeking a personable, organized, and customer-focused Service Coordinator to support maintenance operations at a residential community in Morris County, NJ.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong customer service background who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and keeping daily operations running smoothly. Property management experience is not required! Bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred, and Yardi experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Work Order Coordination
- Monitor, prioritize, and assign maintenance work orders to onsite technicians.
- Coordinate daily schedules and follow up on outstanding service requests.
- Track completion timelines and help ensure timely, quality repairs.
Resident Relations & Customer Service
- Serve as the primary contact for residents regarding maintenance requests and repair updates.
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with residents, including when addressing complaints or concerns.
- Provide clear updates on scheduling, parts delays, and repair timelines.
- Follow up on completed work orders to ensure resident satisfaction.
Vendor & Administrative Support
- Schedule outside contractors for specialized repairs and services.
- Assist with vendor documentation, invoices, purchase orders, and maintenance supply inventory.
- Maintain accurate work order records, service histories, and preventive maintenance documentation.
- Assist with reporting on work order completion and recurring maintenance issues.
Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience required; hospitality, retail, dispatch, and administrative backgrounds are welcome.
- Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred due to the resident population.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Patient, approachable, and professional demeanor, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Comfortable working with residents, maintenance technicians, and outside vendors.
- Yardi or other property management software experience is a plus, but not required.
- Previous multifamily or maintenance experience is not required.
