As one of the world's largest networks of audit, tax and consulting firms, RSM delivers big ideas and premium service to help middle-market businesses thrive. We are a fast-growing firm with big ambitions - we have a clear goal to become the premium adviser to the middle market, globally. This vision touches everything we do, motivating and inspiring us to become better every day. If you are looking for a firm where you can build a future and make an impact, then RSM is the place for you.

Make an Impact at RSM UK

Step into a key position as a Global VAT E-Invoicing Manager in our fast growing Global VAT practice, specialising in e-invoicing and digital reporting. This role is designed for a subject-matter expert who will act as a trusted advisor to clients, supporting them through increasingly complex e-invoicing mandates and digital compliance requirements across jurisdictions.

You will combine technical credibility with strong client-facing skills and a genuine interest in building a growing advisory offering. You will be comfortable taking ownership of your work, working collaboratively across disciplines and balancing technical detail with practical commercial outcomes.

Working closely with colleagues across our international network, tax and technology teams, and third-party solution providers, you will have ownership of client engagements and contribute to business development through opportunity identification, solution design and proposal development.

You will make an impact by:

  • Advising clients on global e-invoicing and digital reporting requirements, translating complex regulatory developments into practical business and technology implications.
  • Being a key contact for client queries relating to e-invoicing mandates, implementation approaches, operating models and solution feasibility.
  • Leading and contributing to client workshops, readiness assessments, gap analyses and solution design activities.
  • Developing trusted client relationships by providing clear, pragmatic and commercially relevant advice
  • Taking responsibility for key aspects of e-invoicing engagements, from initial scoping and requirements gathering through solution design, testing and go-live.
  • Coordinating with technical specialists, project managers, technology providers and other stakeholders to support effective implementation.
  • Supporting the investigation and resolution of implementation issues, including reviewing data structures, XML outputs and integration requirements where appropriate.
  • Identifying delivery risks, dependencies and potential issues early, escalating where necessary and helping drive them through to resolution.
  • Contributing to quality assurance, risk management and continuous improvement, ensuring engagements meet client expectations and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Acting as a key interface between clients, internal teams and third-party e-invoicing solution providers.
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with technology partners, developing a strong understanding of their capabilities and solutions.
  • Actively contributing to identify, shape and win new client opportunities within e-invoicing and digital reporting.

What we are looking for:

Are you someone who thrives on variety, loves learning new things, and enjoys connecting with people? If you can spot inefficiencies in everyday life and are passionate about making improvements, this role is perfect for you!

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

Preferred qualifications & experience

  • Relevant professional experience, with demonstrable expertise in e-invoicing, digital reporting, tax technology or related regulatory and technology-enabled transformation.
  • Experience advising clients on e-invoicing requirements, regulatory change, implementation projects or technology-enabled compliance.
  • A good understanding of data flows, data formats (including XML and delimited files) and system integrations.
  • Experience working with, implementing or assessing third-party e-invoicing solutions, with an understanding of the main technology providers and their capabilities.
  • Experience in professional services, consulting or a client-facing advisory environment is preferred.
  • Experience supporting business development, preparing proposals, scoping engagements or contributing to go-to-market initiatives.
  • Experience coordinating projects and working with multidisciplinary or international teams.
  • A background in VAT, indirect tax, finance or financial systems is beneficial but not essential.

Skills & competencies

  • Client-focused: Builds credibility and trust with clients, communicates clearly and understands their commercial and operational priorities.

  • Collaborative: Works effectively across disciplines, countries and external providers to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Proactive and accountable: Takes ownership of deliverables, follows through on commitments and identifies issues before they become problems.
  • Structured and pragmatic: Breaks down complex requirements and develops clear, practical and implementable recommendations.
  • Commercially minded: Recognises opportunities, helps shape solutions and contributes to business development and revenue growth.
  • Adaptable: Responds effectively to a rapidly evolving regulatory and technology landscape.
  • A strong communicator: Presents ideas confidently and persuasively, both verbally and in writing, adapting communication to different audiences.
  • Growth-oriented: Is motivated to develop their expertise, contribute to a growing service line and take on increasing responsibility over time.
