This role is based at our Hyderabad Tech Center and follows a hybrid working model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). Candidates are expected to reside within commuting distance of the Hyderabad office.
Role Overview

Enterprise IT (EIT) is an essential component of the current IT division that provides support to the Pharmaceutical Research and Development (R&D), Supply Chain (Manufacturing), Marketing (Human Health) organizations as well as Enabling Functions. The EIT SAP Platform Team is responsible for our company's SAP Global Template asset, delivering enterprise-level capabilities through harmonized business processes and data. The team is responsible for the operation of all our company's SAP and integrated solutions, governance of the associated enterprise assets, and cost-effective delivery of capabilities to support achievement of immediate and future state business objectives.

In the EIT SAP Platform Team, the SAP Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, governance, and delivery of SAP initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives while managing scope, schedule, risks, resources, stakeholders, and project outcomes.
What should you have
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field
- 3-7 years of hands-on experience working in SAP.
Primary skills (must-have)
- Project management experience delivering medium-to-large IT/SAP projects.
- Basic understanding of SAP systems and business processes, with the ability to translate business requirements into project delivery activities and coordinate effectively across business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder and facilitation skills.
- Experience with planning, risk management, issue resolution and delivery tracking.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional teams.
- Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, MS Project and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches.
Secondary skills (nice to have)
- Experience with global SAP implementations.
- Pharmaceutical or regulated industry experience.
- Financial management and budgeting experience.
- Knowledge of Apptio or similar financial planning tools.
- Experience supporting S/4HANA transformation programs.
The role of SAP Project Manager includes (but is not limited to) the following responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Road-mapping: Develop and maintain roadmaps, ensuring teams are working towards shared objectives and deadlines.
- Managing project scope and priorities: work closely with stakeholders to define project requirements and prioritize tasks, ensuring that the team focuses on delivering the most valuable features first.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and impediments, assess their impact, and implement mitigation strategies to reduce project risks.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates on program status, risks, and changes while also gathering feedback and requirements.
- Monitoring project progress: track team velocity, monitor project metrics, and provide regular updates to stakeholders, enabling transparency and informed decision-making.
- Governance: manage project governance, prepare and facilitate steering committee meetings, escalate decisions and risks appropriately.
- Financial Management: Manage project budgets and forecasts. Track project financials and resource utilization.
- Resource & Vendor management: Coordinate project resources across teams and vendors. Support capacity planning and staffing activities.
- SAP Delivery: Coordinate requirements, design, testing, cutover and hypercare activities. Manage cross-functional SAP dependencies.
- Experience within healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
