The Property Officer provides frontline operational and administrative support for the management of residential properties. Working under the direction of a Technical Manager or Senior Officer, this role ensures that day-to-day activities align with resident satisfaction, property standards, safety protocols, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine interior and exterior inspections of residential units, common areas, and grounds to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, or lease violations.
- Coordinate and oversee vendor services such as plumbing, electrical repairs, pest control, landscaping, and cleaning in vacant or occupied units.
- Respond promptly to resident service requests and emergencies (e.g., water leaks, lockouts, HVAC issues), ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
- Monitor compliance with community rules, local housing regulations, statutory regulations and safety codes (e.g., fire extinguisher checks, smoke detector testing).
- Maintain logs and update work orders in property management applications.
- Serve as a point of contact for residents, addressing inquiries professionally and escalating complex issues as needed.
- Assist with basic administrative duties, including tendering, procurement, and preparing reports.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in property management, business, or a related field is a plus.
- 2 - 5 years of experience in residential property management or facilities management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with property management applications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a resident-focused attitude.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required for multi-site portfolios.
Work Environment:
- Primarily on-site at residential properties with frequent walking for inspection and coordination with vendors.
- Required to work on weekends, public holidays and evening, or on-call availability for emergency response.
