Responsible for leading the development, implementation, governance and oversight of policy management across the healthcare system. This role ensures centralized policy governance with integration across the disciplines, standardization, regulatory and accreditation compliance, and alignment with evidence-based practice. *Accountable for Policy Governance and Strategy through an enterprise-wide policy management program with an established structure and workflows to ensure standardization for alignment with organizational goals, applicable regulatory standards and risk management in partnership with the Policy Governance Committee. *Oversees, manages the policy management staff for accountability of assigned objectives. *Accountable for the Policy Development Plan and Lifecycle management aligned with current evidence-based/evidence-informed practices, version-control, utilization of standardized templates, approval process, publication, and maintenance of a repository system in compliance with organizational policy for document retention. *Facilitates stakeholder engagement strategies to identify essential stakeholders for multi-level and interdisciplinary representation. *Role models accountability for organizational, patient and staff safety with Leadership integration, oversight collaboration for a supported process for driving safety and accountability to include review of variances for alignment. *Oversees the Policy Management platform for ensuring optimal function, accessibility and readiness. *Ensures the program and outcomes are compliant with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), Joint Commission and other regulatory agency standards that impact the delivery of healthcare. *Ensures training compliance for policy core team competency with ongoing education as well as training for support staff and end users. *Develops and presents meaningful data reports for demonstration of program outcomes, gaps and compliance. Oversees continuous auditing and monitoring for meeting compliance and expectations. *Participates and/or designates policy management resource support during regulatory surveys for policy requests and participates/designates resource support for the development and implementation of Plans of Correction to mitigate risk and comply with regulatory standards.Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field, Master’s preferred in healthcare or related field *7 years experience in healthcare or related field with experience in document management e.g., scope and role definitions, policy development and implementation, role requiring utilization of policies for performance, or experience in successful program development and implementation *5 years progressive leadership, healthcare leadership preferred *Knowledge of CMS and accreditation standards for healthcare delivery *Key Competencies: Leadership, Program management,; Change management, effective communication skills, staff management for recruitment/retention of talented staff and motivation and engagement of the team; Analytical and presentation skills.All benefits-eligible Presbyterian employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, group term life insurance and other optional voluntary benefits.
