We are building a TechOps team within our BAU IT operations to drive automation, observability, and operational excellence. This role requires strong scripting skills, expertise in monitoring tools, and the ability to automate tasks across large-scale environments. For the Lead position, additional responsibilities include team leadership, stakeholder reporting, and driving strategic initiatives.

Job Responsibilities: (Engineer & Lead):

Automation & Scripting:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, C#, etc.

• Create reusable scripts for deployments, patching, and compliance across multiple VMs via SCCM.

Observability & Monitoring:

• Configure and manage observability platforms like Dynatrace for proactive monitoring.

• Build dashboards, alerts, and performance reports to ensure system health.

Operational Support:

• Collaborate with L2/L3 teams for troubleshooting and incident resolution.

• Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:

• Maintain detailed documentation for scripts, workflows, and monitoring configurations.

• Share best practices and provide training to team members.

Additional Responsibilities for TechOps Lead:

Reporting & Analytics:

• Design and maintain Grafana and Jira dashboards for operational metrics and automation KPIs.

• Provide regular reports to tech leadership and business stakeholders on system health, automation progress, and incident trends.

Leadership & Facilitation:

• Lead and mentor the TechOps team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Facilitate meetings with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to review performance and improvement plans.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage priorities effectively.

Strategic Planning:

• Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization across BAU operations.

• Collaborate with leadership to define TechOps roadmap and deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, C# scripting.

• Understanding of writing or consuming APIs

• Hands-on experience with SCCM for automation and deployment.

• Expertise in observability tools like Dynatrace; familiarity with Grafana dashboards.

• Knowledge of ITIL processes and operational best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred for Lead Role:

• Experience in team leadership and stakeholder management.

• Ability to design and present dashboards/reports for executive audiences.

• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
