Job Propose

Responsible for managing local purchasing activities for indirect materials, automotive consumables, stationery, and other non-production requirements. Ensures timely purchasing, supplier coordination, cost control, and material availability while following company purchasing procedures and supply chain standards.


Job Description

  1. Manage local purchasing activities for indirect materials, automotive consumables, stationery, and other non-production requirements.
  2. Receive and review purchase requisitions and ensure specifications, quantities, and required dates are complete.
  3. Source and evaluate local suppliers based on price, quality, delivery, service, and payment terms.
  4. Request and compare quotations and negotiate prices and commercial terms with suppliers.
  5. Prepare purchase orders and follow up with suppliers until delivery and document completion.
  6. Coordinate with Finance, Warehouse, Maintenance, Production, HSE, and other departments to ensure purchasing requirements are fulfilled.
  7. Monitor supplier performance, delivery status, quality issues, and pending purchasing requests.
  8. Maintain purchasing records, supplier quotations, purchase orders, and related documents in the ERP system.
  9. Support cost reduction initiatives through supplier negotiation, alternative sourcing, and purchasing analysis.
  10. Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, approval procedures, and applicable local requirements.


Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Commerce, Logistics, or a related field.
  2. 4–6 years of experience in local purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  3. Experience in purchasing indirect materials, automotive consumables, stationery, maintenance items, and general supplies.
  4. Strong experience in supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, negotiation, purchase orders, and delivery follow-up.
  5. Good knowledge of local supplier markets and purchasing practices in Egypt.
  6. Very good Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  7. Good ERP knowledge. Oracle experience is preferred.
  8. Good command of English, especially for purchasing documents and supplier communication.
  9. Ability to analyze quotations, costs, supplier performance, and purchasing data.
  10. Strong follow-up skills and ability to manage multiple purchasing requests within deadlines.
