This role sits within the client service team and is suited to someone who is organised, client-focused and committed to delivering accurate, timely and high-quality service. You will support the day-to-day servicing of Public Sector clients while building your insurance knowledge and experience.
Our Public Sector team is a fast-paced, collaborative and ambitious group of professionals who are committed to delivering excellent outcomes for our clients. We are looking for someone who shares that commitment, enjoys working as part of a team and brings a proactive approach to learning, problem-solving and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will support a portfolio of Public Sector clients, helping to deliver their ongoing service and renewal requirements. You will communicate clearly and professionally with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders, ensuring actions are progressed and clients are kept informed. Reporting to the Team Manager, you will work closely with peers, Client Directors and wider internal teams. You will be expected to take ownership of your work, maintain accurate records, meet agreed deadlines and continue developing your technical knowledge and client service capability.
How you'll make an impact
- Support the day-to-day servicing of a portfolio of Public Sector clients, delivering work accurately, promptly and in line with agreed service standards.
- Assist with renewal preparation and coordination, including gathering underwriting information, requesting insurer terms and preparing clear and accurate client documentation.
- Process mid-term adjustments, policy queries, insurer correspondence and other client requests, seeking guidance on more complex matters where required.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, insurers and colleagues, providing timely updates and managing routine expectations effectively.
- Work collaboratively with peers, Client Directors and wider teams to support consistent and high-quality client service.
- Maintain accurate and complete client records, policy documentation, insurer correspondence and internal systems, with strong attention to detail.
- Apply regulatory and internal policy requirements, identifying and escalating potential issues promptly and appropriately.
- Take responsibility for managing your workload, prioritising competing demands and meeting service, renewal and compliance deadlines.
- Build technical knowledge through training, coaching and practical experience, contributing ideas and sharing learning to improve team processes and the client experience.
About you
- Experience in an insurance, financial services or client service environment is desirable, with a willingness to develop technical insurance knowledge.
- A commitment to professional development, ideally working towards Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications such as Cert CII.
- Strong client service skills and a professional, helpful and responsive approach.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with clients, insurers and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, complete and timely work.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing demands and meet agreed deadlines.
- An understanding of the importance of compliance, confidentiality and accurate record-keeping within a regulated environment.
- A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to ask questions and seek support when needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning client management systems and other digital tools.
