Job Overview
The Weekend Receiving Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the daily operations of the receiving department. This role ensures the accurate and timely receipt of goods, maintains a safe and organized work environment, and drives continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and team performance. The Supervisor plays a key role in hiring, training, developing, and motivating team members to meet and exceed operational goals.
Work Schedule:
Friday - Sunday 6:00am - 6:00pm
Highlights of your role
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of receiving associates to achieve departmental goals.
- Set clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable to high standards of productivity, quality, and safety.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and administer fair and consistent discipline when necessary.
- Oversee accurate and efficient receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Maintain proper staffing levels and coordinate cross-training to ensure operational flexibility and coverage.
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety by ensuring adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and participate in incident investigations as needed.
- Drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and service levels.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and resolve issues.
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- High School diploma/GED required
- Required two or more years of related supervisory experience or training
- ICIM and Microsoft Office Suite knowledge preferred
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift license
