Description
Michigan Mechanical Ventures is a fast-growing contractor in Southeast Michigan looking to add an experienced and driven Plumbing Project Manager to our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing commercial plumbing projects from start to finish. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Provide regular updates and address any concerns.
- Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, track expenses, and manage billing to ensure profitability.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, including field plumbers and other staff.
- Subcontractor & Supplier Coordination: Source, negotiate with, and manage subcontractors and material suppliers.
- Quality & Safety Assurance: Enforce strict quality control standards and maintain a safe work environment in compliance with all regulations.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify potential issues and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
Requirements:
- Minimum of [5] years of experience in plumbing project management, with a strong focus on commercial projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Deep understanding of plumbing systems, blueprints, and construction processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
