What You'll Do
- Support the Traffic Engineering division with asset management, software configuration, data collection and validation.
- Leverage ArcGIS for infrastructure asset tracking, supporting the configuration and data validation of traffic signal performance metrics system or safety software.
- Perform data collection, data entry, quality control, and create analytical data filters, charts or reports to assist engineering staff with traffic studies.
This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Non-Exempt. This is a part-time position, working up to 20 hours per week, with a work schedule during the hours of Monday - Thursday, 7 am - 6 pm.
This is a semester-long internship for Fall 2026, with an anticipated start date of August 17th, 2026, and program end date in early December 2026.

Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED;
- A current student enrolled in an undergraduate program pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field, with an interest in transportation, traffic operations, or municipal infrastructure.
Preferred:
- Basic exposure or coursework experience with ArcGIS, data analysis or database management;
- Strong technical aptitude for working with software tools, data entry and validation and organizing complex datasets;
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for collaborating cross-departmentally with engineering and IT teams;
- Possess a valid driver's license.
