Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Form Carpenters for projects located in or around Danville, VA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $25-$27/hour based on experience and skill level. IF you are a Concrete Form Carpenter and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!
Job Scope:
- Assist with digging and grading footings using grade control methods
- Tie and install rebar according to project specifications
- Cut lumber and materials used for concrete forming
- Use hammers to drive stakes and secure concrete forms
- Use drills and hand tools to assemble and install forms
- Form tilt-wall panels on slab-on-grade projects
- Assist with pouring concrete into footings
- Use rakes and shovels to fine-tune grade and move concrete as needed
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment on site
Requirements:
- Must have previous concrete form carpentry experience
- Must have experience with footing work, forming, and rebar installation
- Must be able to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Must have all standard PPE
- Must have a tool belt and basic hand tools
- Must be able to perform physically demanding work in an outdoor environment
