Lecturer - Communication Design [ITE College Central] - 2 Year Contract

[What the role is]

As a Lecturer, your contributions go beyond teaching and facilitating learning. You will play a critical role in recognising and nurturing your students’ potential and their lifelong learning needs.

[What you will be working on]

In addition to your teaching duties, you will carry out industry or consultancy projects to help you remain relevant in your profession, adapt to evolving changes in the industry, and maintain strong linkages with industry partners and schools. You will also have the opportunity for regular industry attachments to continuously update your skills, knowledge, and creative practices.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Conducting high-quality, hands-on training for the Higher Nitec in Communication Design programme.

• Reviewing and updating the curriculum to ensure it aligns with modern industry standards.

• Collaborating with external industry experts to introduce and develop new training initiatives.

[What we are looking for]

We are looking for a dynamic professional with credentials in Communication Design, Visual Communication, or a related discipline, backed by solid work experience in the digital media industry. You should possess a strong portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of creative, innovative design projects, alongside expertise in the following areas:

• Visual Fundamentals: Branding strategy, corporate identity design, typography, infographics, and visual composition.

• Digital Product Design: UX/UI design, Design Thinking methodologies, and exploring opportunities with AI-driven technologies to elevate user experiences.

• Software & Tech Stack: Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, combined with working knowledge of front-end scripting related disciplines.
