First (Days)Overview:
Sentara Martha Jefferson PJPV is looking to hire a Referral Specialist for our CAC Department.
Position location: This is a remote position; however, candidates must be able to travel on-site when connectivity or power outage occurs to our Sentara Martha Jefferson PJPV in Charlottesville location.
The Referral Specialist will perform at least one of the following functions: act as a liaison between the providers, patients, insurance companies, and clinical departments to schedule patients, verify insurance eligibility, and transcribe orders. Specialists are responsible for managing orders within their assigned work queues.
Key Responsibilities: Responsible for scheduling patients, confirms insurance eligibility through the real-time eligibility (RTE) tool, or pre-registering patients. Validates accuracy of data when performing these functions.
Other Requirements: Consistently meets turnaround requirements for job functions. Consistently meets required department adherence and quality metrics. Requires knowledge of proper scheduling procedures, call handling, or preregistration requirements. Accountable to problem solve, investigate and help resolve problems for work assignments. Must collaborate effectively with internal and external customers to reach desired results as determined by key performance indicators and leadership.
Education:
· High School Diploma (required)
Experience:
· 1 year of customer service experience (required)
· Medical Terminology (preferred)
· Epic experience (preferred)
