Regional Operational Excellence Lead

At Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. As the Regional Operational Excellence Lead - Asia, you'll join a world leader in platinum group metals with over 200 years of history. Using advanced metals chemistry, you'll help tackle the world's biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern life and supporting life-saving technologies - by applying, refining and recycling metals that matter for a healthier, more sustainable, circular future. 

The role: 

As an Asia Regional Operational Excellence Lead, you will help drive our goals by: 

• Partnering with regional operations leaders across APAC to define priorities and deliver a structured operational excellence roadmap across multiple manufacturing sites. 

• Leading high-impact improvement programmes that enhance productivity, safety, quality, cost performance and operational efficiency. 

• Driving adoption of the JM Production System and continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma principles. 

• Building operational capability through coaching, training and the sharing of best practices, tools and governance processes. 

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align resources and deliver sustainable business improvements. 

• Leading and developing a team of Operational Excellence specialists while embedding a culture of continuous improvement. 

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role: 

• Black Belt Lean Six Sigma qualification with significant experience delivering transformational operational and financial improvements. 

• Proven background in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement or Operations Transformation within complex organisations. 

• Strong track record of delivering measurable performance improvements across multiple sites or business units. 

• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build effective relationships across functions, cultures and geographies, notably Asia 

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management capabilities supported by data-driven decision making. 

• Experience leading, mentoring and developing improvement teams with a strong focus on execution and delivery.
