Make Me Local is a dynamic and local digital marketing company based in West Wickham.  We specialise in providing comprehensive digital solutions to businesses, helping them enhance their online presence and generate leads.  We are an organisation made up of approximately 50 employees, 20 of which are based locally in West Wickham, the rest are located off shore in Romania and India.  We require a skilled and detail oriented Proofreader to join our team.  The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of blog content produced by our offshore team in India.  The primary responsibility will be to proofread approximately 160 blogs per month, providing constructive feedback to maintain high quality standards.  This position is ideal for someone with a strong grasp on proofreading techniques, an understanding of SEO content and excellent communication skills.  Proofreading: Review and proofread approximately 160 blogs per month for grammar, Americanisms, punctuation, spelling, and overall quality. Ensure content adheres to company style guidelines.  Feedback and Communication;  Provide clear and constructive feedback to the content creators in India regarding the quality of the blogs and how they can be improved, not limited too, but to include the above mentioned, punctuation, spelling, grammar, Americanisms.  Training and Development; Act as a key mentor for the two content leads, providing guidance, support, and constructive feedback to enhance their professional growth and performance. Facilitate regular one on one mentoring sessions to address individual challenges, foster a culture of collaborative learning and ensure the continuous improvement of their content creation and leadership skills.  SEO Understanding: Possess a good understanding of SEO principles and their application in online content. Ensure blogs align with SEO strategy as part of the lead generation effort.  Person Specification Demonstrable experience in proofreading, ideally in a digital marketing environment. Excellent command of the English language, with strong grammar and punctuation skills. Familiarity with SEO best practices and their application in content creation. Strong communication skills to provide feedback effectively. Detail orientated with a keen eye for quality and consistency.  Company Benefits  Basic salary ‘competitive’ Flexible working options open to discussion subject to finding the right candidate.Holiday Entitlement starting at 23 days plus bank holidays, increases with length of service to 28 days.Pension Scheme Frequent team social eventsFriendly office dog
