Part-Time CDL Driver/Loader

Description

Position Purpose: Responsible for safe and efficient loading & delivery of materials.

Primary Role Expectations:

• Safely and efficiently operate company trucks, trailers and forklifts.  

• Maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL).  

• Load and unload lumber and sheet metal with equipment or by hand.  

• Manually unload/deliver various products to customer locations as assigned.  

• Build relationships with customers, becoming familiar with their operations, needs & expectations.  

• Abide by FMCSA regulations.  

• Learn and adhere to workplace safety regulations.  

• Work as a team player by filling in as needed.  

• Provide all customer feedback to management.  

• Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

 Qualifications:  

• Previous tractor-trailer experience desired.  

• Good driving record.  

• Positive, friendly attitude and great customer service skills are a must!  

• Self-motivated with the ability to work with little supervision.  

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions.  

Education and Experience Requirements: 

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL). 

• Forklift certification is desired. 

Physical Requirements:  

• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.  

• Lifting anything >100 lbs requires additional personnel and utilizing a dolly or forklift if possible.  

• Be able to sit or stand for long periods.
