Position Summary

This role supports DDGS loadout and general facility operations by conducting truck inspections, operating grain handling equipment, and ensuring accurate shipment documentation. Responsibilities include monitoring equipment and processes, troubleshooting operational issues, and escalating concerns as needed to maintain safe and efficient operations. The position also operates mobile equipment, assists with railcar movement and loading activities, and performs routine housekeeping throughout the facility. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, working outdoors, and operating equipment in an industrial environment. Candidates should be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection activities such as probing trucks

  • Operate grain handling and receiving equipment; provide customer service to drivers and perform data entry of shipment details

  • Monitor equipment and processes to identify issues; resolve or escalate issues when necessary

  • Operate various types of mobile equipment

  • Assist with the movement of railcars

  • Perform general housekeeping activities

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

  • Basic computer and data entry skills

  • Previous grain operations experience preferred

  • Ability to operate mobile equipment and/or a valid driver’s license preferred

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

  • Work is performed in an ethanol production facility that operates 24x7

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends during high-demand periods

  • Must be able to stand/sit for an extended period of time

  • Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds

  • Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 180 feet

  • Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures

  • Working conditions could include dust, fumes, moderate noise and uneven surfaces
