The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for leading the daily culinary operations of Adobe Grill, ensuring consistently exceptional food quality, presentation, sanitation, and guest satisfaction. This role oversees kitchen associates, supports menu development, manages food and labor costs, and maintains an organized, safe, and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily kitchen operations and ensure consistent execution of all menu items.
Train, coach, schedule, and supervise culinary associates.
Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, timing, and consistency.
Partner with the Executive Chef on menu development, seasonal offerings, and special events.
Monitor food costs, inventory, purchasing, waste, and labor productivity.
Ensure compliance with food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety standards.
Coordinate with restaurant and resort leaders to create an exceptional guest experience.
Respond professionally to guest feedback and implement corrective actions when needed.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive kitchen culture.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, or comparable culinary leader.
Strong knowledge of Mexican cuisine, culinary techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
Food-handler or food-safety certification required or obtained within the designated timeframe.
