Position: General Manager, North Carolina Division
Location: Office based in North Carolina
Compensation: $120,000
Commission: Sales commission paid in accordance with company criteria and policies.
Performance Bonus: Eligible for an annual performance bonus based on company criteria and subject to company discretion.
Signing Bonus: $5,000

Job Summary
The Company is seeking an experienced, results-driven General Manager to lead its North Carolina market. This role is responsible for overall division performance, including client retention, employee engagement, service quality, operational compliance, financial discipline, and market growth. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong business judgment, proven multi-city operational experience, and the ability to build accountable teams in a fast-paced contract security environment. The successful candidate will bring proven security services leadership, strong P and L discipline, and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, industry associations, strategic partners, and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead market operations to achieve service quality, staffing reliability, compliance, client satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial performance objectives.
- Maintaining full profit and loss responsibility for the division, including revenue growth, profitability, budgeting, labor management, cash flow, and financial performance against established goals.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement and service excellence.
- Drive financial performance by managing labor budgets, payroll accuracy, billing timeliness, overtime control, margin performance, and other branch-level cost controls.
- Ensure contract compliance, licensing adherence, regulatory oversight, post order execution, and timely corrective action when service, staffing, or compliance issues are identified.
- Leading sales and business development efforts to increase market share while supporting proposal strategy, client presentations, contract retention, and strategic account development.
- Lead, mentor, and develop site-level leadership teams and frontline employees.
- Conduct site visits, audits, and after-hours/weekend inspections.
- Oversee recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, employee engagement, performance management, and retention initiatives in partnership with Human Resources and field leadership.
- Partner with corporate and division leadership on strategic planning, branch performance initiatives, client retention, operational implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Represent The Company in community outreach and local public safety partnerships.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of regional leadership experience in contract security operations, including direct responsibility for multi-city service delivery; experience managing 10,000+ weekly security hours is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing branch operations, client service, financial oversight, employee relations, and team leadership in a service-intensive operating environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, written communication, verbal communication, and client-facing presentation skills, with the ability to interpret operational data and translate findings into practical action.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; ability to use scheduling, payroll, reporting, and client-service platforms to support branch operations and performance management.
- Ability to remain responsive and available for urgent market, client, staffing, compliance, and operational matters, including after-hours, weekend, weather-related, and emergency situations as needed.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, respond professionally under pressure, and make timely decisions involving clients, employees, operational risk, and service continuity.
- Ability to satisfy Company and client background screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, motor vehicle record review, and any licensing or site-specific suitability requirements.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in business, criminal justice, security management, public administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, training, certification, and relevant experience may be considered.
