PAML a Labcorp company is seeking a Cytogenetic Technologist to join our team in Spokane, WA.
Work Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm overtime and additional days or hours may be required
Responsibilities:
Perform analysis, which includes imaging, oncology FISH and/or karyotyping of cytogenetic specimens
Review test requisitions to gather pertinent details for analysis
Summarize test results utilizing ISCN nomenclature
Distinguish between normal and abnormal test results
Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment
Perform and evaluate troubleshooting, document all corrective actions as needed
Comply with company policies and procedures
Maintain a safe work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology.
1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience including FISH analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
ASCP certification in Cytogenetics (ASCPCG)

Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
Flexible to work overtime as needed
Exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information

Pay Range: $24.77 to $38.00 hourly
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
