Description
We are seeking compassionate, responsible Childcare Supervision Staff to care for children (typically ages 0–12) while their parents participate in the program. This is a vital role that supports families by ensuring children are safe, engaged, and nurtured in a fun and structured environment.
Schedule: Once a week for 12 weeks; 2 hrs per week
What You Will Be Doing to Supervise Children...
• Make children feel welcome and cared for while their parents/caregivers are engaged in the SFP program
• Supervise children and all activities
• Assist with family meal times.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up activities, toys and other materials
• Follows procedures and standards
• Cultivates positive relationships and maintains effective communication with parents/caregivers.
• Keep accurate records related to program requirements
• Maintain safe environment. Alert Site Coordinator in the event of an emergency or if a parent/caregiver is needed in the child supervision space (For e.g. for child’s bathroom needs)
Requirements
· No formal education is required · CPR and 1st Aid Certified is a plus. (Training is available).
· Demonstrable and relevant experience working with families and children.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Respectful, responsible, and flexible
· Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
· Ability to work with diverse communities, including with children and families of different races, ethnicities, ages, abilities and experiences.
· Ability to maintain records and to keep records and information in a confidential manner
· Bi-lingual a plus
· Resident of Quincy or familiarity with the Quincy community preferred
· Acceptable CORI and SORI background record check as required by program
