About the Role

The IPM NA Category Lead Oral Health is a senior leader within Portfolio & Project Management and a crucial contributor to successful delivery of Haleon’s innovation agenda. The role integrates business objectives, technical development plans, operational execution, governance, and organizational capability building. This leader orchestrates complex cross-functional programs across Commercial, R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory and other functions to ensure strategic initiatives deliver business value.

In the Regional Technical capacity, the Lead defines and executes the regional technical strategy for the product category, ensuring consistent quality, compliance, and operational excellence while driving manufacturing transformation and cost saving initiatives. It also leads to cross functional collaboration and applies lean and value engineering methodologies to optimize processes, strengthen supply chain performance, and maximize value across the region.

Role Responsibilities

  • Innovation Program Leadership for Category/Market – Lead complex, high-value innovation programs including new product development, claims innovation, process improvements and brand upgrades.

  • Innovation Portfolio Management – Provide visibility to project sufficiency, risks, dependencies, prioritization decisions and resource requirements. Deliver the Category/OU Market innovation scorecard

  • Integrated Innovation Master Planning – Develop and maintain by category integrated cross-functional plans and milestone alignment.

  • Governance & Stage Gate Excellence – Lead governance forums, stage-gate readiness, change control and decision processes. Ensures ambition for agility and speed and enterprise risk are associated in order to make sound decisions

  • Capability Building – Drive Project management best practices, tools, governance models and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • People Leadership – Coach, mentor and develop Project Managers and Senior Project Managers.

  • Decision Support – Provide strategic recommendations regarding investment choices, prioritization and delivery trade-offs.

  • Technical readiness for Innovations: Delivers high level of technical readiness for innovations partnering with site/planning/procurement etc.
     

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic innovation programs from concept through commercialization.

  • Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams.

  • Maintain integrated project plans, budgets, resource forecasts and risk registers.

  • Drive speed to impact through disciplined planning and execution.

  • Partner with portfolio teams to support governance reviews and reporting.

  • Ensure project information accuracy within enterprise PPM systems.

  • Lead gate readiness and execution of governance outcomes.

  • Resolve risks, issues, conflicts and bottlenecks through influence and negotiation.

  • Conduct lessons learned reviews and institutionalize best practices.

  • Champion organizational capability building and PM excellence.

  • Owns the regional technical strategy for relevant product category to set framework for delivering consistent quality, robustness, and compliance across manufacturing sites.

  • Leads cross functional collaboration with QA, R&D, Commercial, and global Technical teams to drive supply chain strategy execution and industry benchmarking.

  • Drives lean and value engineering methodologies to eliminate waste, optimize processes, and deliver sustainable cost savings across the supply chain network.

  • Accountable for end-to-end planning and execution of manufacturing transformation and cost saving programs to maximize value across the region.

  • Represents technical readiness/success (from a manufacturing science and technology perspective) with the OU Category.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience across Project Management, Commercial, Supply Chain, R&D or Innovation functions.

  • Minimum of 5-year experience in manufacturing science and technology discipline (in site, regional or global technical role)

  • Experience within Consumer Healthcare, CPG, Pharmaceutical or Medical Device environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree, MBA or PhD preferred.

  • PMP, Agile, Program Management or Portfolio Management certifications.

  • Strong business leadership and commercial acumen.

  • Extensive project and portfolio management experience in complex matrix organizations.

  • Ability to connect business objectives, technical possibilities and operational execution.

  • Ability to influence without authority and manage executive stakeholders effectively.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Proven leadership, coaching and talent-development capability.

  • Expertise in governance, stage-gate management, risk management and change control.

  • Operational experience with the ability to ideate and execute technical changes that drive growth and productivity.

Location: This is a hybrid position based in Warren, NJ, requiring on-site presence 3 days per week.

The Salary Range for this role is $189,229 – 260,189 + an 18% annual target bonus.
