Description
The Solution Owner is accountable for end‑to‑end ownership of one or more Sonexus solutions, with primary responsibility for Salesforce‑based platforms including ConnectSource and Marketing Cloud, ensuring predictable delivery, operational stability, financial stewardship, and strong alignment with business and product partners. This role serves as the primary point of accountability for solution outcomes, reducing fragmented ownership, minimizing escalation‑driven delivery, improving consistency of execution, and ensuring build‑to‑run transitions and run stability are explicitly owned and measurable.
This role leads cross‑functional delivery teams responsible for building, implementing, and sustaining solutions on a customized Salesforce ecosystem (Salesforce Core, Marketing Cloud, integrations, and hybrid services). The Solution Owner ensures work is planned, governed, delivered, and transitioned to run in alignment with the Sonexus IT operating model, Salesforce best practices, and enterprise SDLC standards.

Planning, Financial & Capacity Management

- Translate Salesforce‑specific LOE (configuration, custom code, integrations, testing) into schedule and cost forecasts
- Maintain onshore and offshore capacity plans, aligning priorities to Salesforce skill sets and avoiding role overlap or single‑threading
- Own solution‑level resource management across Engineering, BA, QA, PM, Salesforce administrators, developers, integration specialists, and partner teams
- Understand and manage capital vs. expense treatment aligned to enterprise finance standards for Salesforce initiatives
- Protect Sonexus revenue by understanding financial impact, margin implications, and revenue risk tied to Salesforce delivery decisions
SDLC Governance, Delivery Discipline & Flow of Work
- Define and operate a consistent, well‑understood flow of work for Salesforce solutions from intake through delivery, release, hypercare, and run
- Ensure adherence to enterprise SDLC gates, QA standards, Salesforce release management practices, and structured change control
- Maintain delivery hygiene through WBS, RAID logs, risk management, decision logs, and issue tracking for Salesforce initiatives
- Apply governance that is disciplined and right‑sized, avoiding over‑engineered Salesforce processes used to compensate for weak delivery fundamentals
- Identify recurring Salesforce delivery and operational breakdowns and drive targeted process improvements rooted in root‑cause analysis
- Adjust planning, governance, and communication practices based on delivery phase and observed Salesforce outcomes, reinforcing continuous improvement
Build‑to‑Run Transition & Run Stability
- Ensure Salesforce build‑to‑run transitions are clearly defined, documented, and executed, including readiness criteria, deployment documentation, and knowledge transfer

- Drive root‑cause analysis to prevent recurring Salesforce issues and reduce rework
Quality, Compliance & Evidence‑Based Readiness
- Enforce consistent Salesforce requirements, configuration standards, and testing practices to strengthen end‑to‑end quality accountability
- Ensure QA, accessibility, security, and compliance requirements are met for Salesforce solutions, including required evidence, sign‑offs, and remediation
- Maintain clean, validated, PHI‑safe Salesforce demos, reports, journeys, and data views prior to internal or client‑facing reviews
- Strengthen delivery confidence through evidence‑based readiness rather than last‑minute Salesforce escalation
Cross‑Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Alignment
- Lead and align Engineering, BA, QA, PM, Product, APS, Business stakeholders, and Salesforce platform teams
- Partner closely with offshore Salesforce development teams, providing clear priorities, decision ownership, and escalation paths
- Maintain clear ownership, accountability, and communication across onshore and offshore Salesforce teams

Stakeholder Leadership & Client Presence
- Demonstrate strong executive presence in internal and client‑facing interactions, especially when representing Salesforce solutions
- Prepare and lead Salesforce‑related meetings with clear pre‑reads, agendas, risks, decisions, and recommended paths
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, maintaining appropriate internal vs. external voice when discussing Salesforce capabilities and constraints
- Influence and negotiate without authority by presenting Salesforce tradeoffs grounded in data, platform constraints, and delivery realities
Leadership & People Development
- Coach and develop BAs, PMs, Salesforce Technical Leads, Developers, Engineers, and QAs to build sustainable delivery and leadership capability
- Hold Salesforce teams accountable for outcomes while fostering a culture of ownership and follow‑through across locations
