Our platform is built around four core modules:

• Response Optimizer — uncovers patient response heterogeneity to identify optimal treatment populations
• Trial Optimizer — designs adaptive, Bayesian trial designs tailored to sponsor objectives
• Portfolio Optimizer — uses causal graphs to inform portfolio-level development decisions
• Clin Ops Optimizer — applies causal ML to site selection and real-time trial performance

The Role

We're looking for a Medical Director to join our Tel Aviv team and serve as a key clinical voice across all four PhaseV product modules — partnering with data scientists, engineers, and product teams internally, and engaging directly with pharma, biotech, and CRO clients externally. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 4 days/week in our Tel Aviv office, reflecting how much we value in-person collaboration across our clinical, data science, and product teams.

What You'll Do

Clinical & Scientific Leadership

 

• Provide clinical oversight and interpretation for PhaseV's causal ML-based models across all product modules
• Ensure the highest standard of clinical relevance and accuracy in platform outputs and client deliverables
• Serve as a clinical expert in client-facing discussions, translating data science outputs into actionable medical insights
• Guide internal data science, engineering, and product teams on clinical concepts relevant to ongoing projects

 

Business Development Support

• Partner with the business development team to communicate PhaseV's clinical value proposition to pharma, biotech, and CRO partners
• Participate in client meetings, partnership discussions, and proposal development as a clinical subject matter expert
• Develop and refine presentation content for BD meetings, pitches, and scientific discussions

New Product Development

• Partner with product and data science teams to inform new platform capabilities
• Provide clinical feasibility input during early-stage product ideation and design
• Help define clinically meaningful use cases, endpoints, and success criteria for new offerings

What We're Looking For

Required

• M.D. degree
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable in scientific, business development, and executive-level settings
• Fluent in English
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary startup environment
• Curiosity and willingness to engage with advanced biostatistics and causal machine learning (technical expertise not required)

Preferred

• Experience supporting business development efforts
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO environments
• Experience in health technology, AI in healthcare, or related fields
• Track record of thought leadership: publications, conference presentations, or industry writing
• Prior exposure to adaptive trial design, Bayesian methods, or AI/ML in clinical settings
• Working knowledge of clinical trial methodology and regulatory frameworks (FDA, EMA, GCP)
• A second advanced degree (Ph.D. or MBA) is a differentiator, though not required
