About the Role:

The Executive Director, IT Operations & Delivery is a senior technology leader responsible for driving the operational effectiveness, execution discipline, and delivery performance of the enterprise technology organization. Reporting to the Vice President, Value Management Office, this position establishes and leads the management disciplines that enable Technology to operate reliably, efficiently, and at scale while executing an increasingly complex portfolio of business and technology priorities.

The Executive Director provides enterprise leadership across IT business operations, delivery governance, financial and resource management, vendor and strategic partner management, workforce optimization, and organizational execution. The role creates the operating mechanisms that connect leadership priorities to execution, ensuring clear accountability, effective resource deployment, disciplined financial management, timely escalation and resolution of enterprise risks and dependencies, and consistent execution across Technology organizations.

This leader establishes and governs enterprise delivery practices and management rhythms that enable visibility, accountability, and timely intervention across significant technology initiatives, products, platforms, and transformation programs. Working across Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Systems, Data, Architecture, Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, and business organizations, the Executive Director identifies systemic barriers to execution, drives cross-functional resolution, and ensures organizational resources and capabilities are aligned to the highest-priority enterprise commitments.

The position owns the enterprise technology vendor, strategic partner, and global delivery strategy, establishing the frameworks through which Technology evaluates, governs, and optimizes its ecosystem of external partners, managed services providers, offshore and nearshore capabilities, and contingent resources. The Executive Director drives strategic decisions regarding sourcing models, workforce mix, partner consolidation, commercial performance, and capability placement to improve cost efficiency, quality, scalability, speed, and access to critical technology capabilities.

The Executive Director also provides leadership for the operational and financial management of the Technology organization, partnering closely with Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, and Technology leadership to align budgets, workforce, vendor commitments, organizational capacity, and delivery priorities. The role identifies opportunities to improve the economics and productivity of Technology, challenges inefficient operating practices, and drives enterprise initiatives that improve cost effectiveness, resource utilization, delivery performance, and organizational scalability.

As Technology transitions toward product-, platform-, and AI-enabled ways of working, this leader ensures that the operating environment evolves alongside the transformation. The Executive Director drives changes to delivery governance, workforce models, partner strategies, management processes, and organizational practices required to increase velocity, simplify execution, and enable teams to operate with greater accountability and autonomy while maintaining appropriate enterprise controls.

Operating with significant autonomy and broad enterprise influence, the Executive Director serves as a trusted advisor to senior Technology leadership and a key partner to enterprise functions and business leaders. The role must navigate complex organizational dependencies, resolve competing priorities, influence decisions across organizational boundaries, and translate operational, financial, workforce, and delivery considerations into clear recommendations and actions for senior leadership.

This is not a traditional IT operations or administrative management role. It is an enterprise leadership position accountable for how the Technology organization operates and executes at scale. The role requires a leader capable of integrating delivery, financial stewardship, workforce strategy, vendor management, organizational effectiveness, and operational governance into a cohesive management system that improves execution, productivity, accountability, and business outcomes.
