IT Technician II

Job Overview

Provide mentorship and direction to the Information Systems Technicians and support business objectives. Work closely with IT management to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

Highlights of your role

• Assist in the administration and support of Network and Systems Management.
• Assist in managing security and support of SharePoint site
• Participate in IT project development, solution modeling, and execution.
• Participate as a member of the Helpdesk to log and resolve support incidents.
• Participate as a member of the work order system to log labor, order parts and equipment, create and close IS
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on network equipment, servers, computers, printers, scanners, and other devices.
• Provides direct support by phone, email, and in person for on-site and off-site end-users.
• Configure and install new computers, printers, network devices, and related peripheral devices.
• Assist in the support and administration of network cabling (install, terminate, and troubleshoot), telephone/voicemail systems, video conferencing, and multi-media A/V equipment.
• Install and troubleshoot various end user software packages.
• Maintain and develop documentation and procedures, share knowledge and effectively communicate with end users, team members, and management.
• Research, analyze, and test Information Systems solutions and assist in training of end-users.
• Assist with efficiency and cost reduction in Information Systems areas.
• Participate in on-call support

 

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

• Associate degree in computer/network support and/or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows-based clients and servers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with networking devices, principals, and protocols.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
• Knowledge of IT Infrastructure security
• Training in scissor and boom lift is required (ability to access network connections and equipment for installation, troubleshooting, and repair).

Compensation

$21.86 - $32.83 per hour
