Job Description:

 

The Leidos Intelligence Sector is seeking a Principal Digital Forensics Examiner to support the DIA/NDOC mission. This position will be located at our customer site in Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities Include:  

 

• Work with the NDOC Government Lead to create and maintain a detailed work plan to include specific tasks, assignments, task dependencies, milestones, and schedule for processing direct forensic and non-forensic data collections
• Work with senior leadership to establish and implement program goals and provide key performance metrics to establish a strategic baseline
• Establish clear expectations and goals to drive and evaluate forensic examiner work products
• Build and maintain qualified, full-time staff and a pipeline or surge staff according to customer and mission priorities
• Maintain awareness of emerging capabilities and technologies, and create relevant training plans to ensure continue mission accomplishment
• Act as a bridge for the complex gap between the non-technical functions of management and the technical requirements of a computer forensics mission and its personnel
• Oversee personnel performing forensic examinations and and complex analysis to include preservation, acquisition, processing, analysis, and reporting
• Ensure compliance with digital forensics standards, policies, and procedures
• Provide consultation, training, assistance and mentorship throughout the digital forensics process
• Identify techniques, processes, and procedures to enhance the growth and maturity of the NDOC forensics program
• Develop and present oral and written communications to include clear and comprehensive case notes and findings and presentations to government stakeholders

 

Principal Digital Forensics Examiner Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or STEM discipline and 12 years of experience.
• At least 10 years of related technical and project management experience (can substitute for 5 years’ experience with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science or STEM discipline)
• Industry standard forensics certification (e.g., EnCE, ACE, CCE, GIAC)
• Experience conducting Computer Forensics, DOMEX, and Intelligence Analysis
• Experience in Project Management and requirements documentation
• Experience in planning and forecasting resource needs
• Experience requiring strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Experience requiring strong instructional and communications skills
• Must be able to maintain TS/SCI Clearance with poly
• Must be able to work in Bethesda, MD

 

Principal Digital Forensics Examiner Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in hardware configuration and network/data communications
• Experience with software engineering and scripting
• Experience with law enforcement evidence seizure
• Experience conducting intelligence analysis and writing finished intelligence reporting

Pay Range:

Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
