Coordinator Purchase Order Management

Purpose:

The Regional Inventory Coordinator works within Supply Chain and is responsible for partnering with stores, merchandising and store operations to support and execute inventory strategies that maximize sales and inventory productivity for Floor & Decor. To maximize sales and inventory productivity, it is critical that the Coordinator supports the appropriate in-stock positions in both the stores and distribution centers for all SKUs. The Coordinator will work closely with Regional/DC Strategist, stores, DCs, logistics, distribution, PO management, and merchandising.  The Coordinator is responsible for managing SLIM Requests, ServiceNow Tickets, creating ISTs for inventory balancing, and ad hoc inventory management tasks as assigned by the strategists. 

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
• Critical thinking skills to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
• Strong self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be detail-oriented and organized
• Action-oriented and accountable for responsibilities
• Ability to adapt well in a dynamic retail corporate environment
• Proficient in MS Office applications especially Excel
• DFIO solution knowledge is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
• Possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Essential Job Functions:

• Execute and deliver on inventory strategies outlined by the Inventory Strategist and Leadership alike.
• Participate in regional calls and partner with inventory and stores teams to align the store assortment to maximize in-stocks and inventory turns
• Recommend opportunities to both inventory strategist to adjust visual presentation settings and job size parameters to maximize inventory turns and sales
• Focus on maintaining higher in stock for Top SKUs in area of responsibility
• Partner to keep Running Line Program SKUs in stock at each store while minimizing inventory investment in order to maximize inventory productivity
• Support sales for new and existing items by completing and closing out SLIM and ServiceNow Requests.
• Identify gaps in store assortment and strategy for resolution
• Partner with strategists on forecast and replenishment settings as well as manual order needs as assigned.
• Produce necessary ad hoc allocations stores in stock
• Collaborate with Purchasing Coordinators to improve on-time and complete shipments
• Support reduction of discontinued inventory to <10% for the company through collaboration with both merchandising and regional merchandising

Working Conditions (travel & environment)

• Limited travel required including air and car travel.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY    REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
