Job Description: Regional Sales Manager – South India

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly driven, technically proficient, and strategic Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – South India to lead and expand our business footprint in the region. Based out of Bangalore or Chennai, you will be responsible for driving sales and business development for our advanced Environment and Process Monitoring Products.

Your product portfolio will include state-of-the-art CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems), CAAQMS (Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Systems), Sulphur Analyzers for Refineries, and Mass Spectrometers. You will target key process industries, refineries, petrochemicals, power plants, and environmental consultants across South India.

• Position: Regional Sales Manager – South India
• Location: Bangalore or Chennai (Requires extensive regional travel)
• Experience: Minimum 10+ Years in B2B industrial sales of analytical instruments / environmental monitoring systems.
• Industry Focus: Environment, Process Automation, Oil & Gas, Refineries, Instrumentation.

Core Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Drive regional revenue goals by identifying, qualifying, and closing high-value opportunities for CEMS, CAAQMS, Sulphur Analyzers, and Mass Spectrometers.
• Map and penetrate key verticals such as Oil & Gas refineries, petrochemical plants, power generation plants, chemical industries, and government environment pollution control boards (SPCBs).
• Manage complex, technical B2B sales cycles from lead generation and technical presentation to commercial negotiation and final contract closure.

Account & Channel Management

• Build and maintain C-level relationships with key decision-makers, plant heads, instrumentation heads, and procurement teams in the region.
• Appoint, train, and manage channel partners/distributors to expand market reach and ensure maximum geographical coverage in South India.

Technical Consultation & Compliance

• Provide consult-native selling by aligning product capabilities with customer technical specs and statutory regulatory requirements (CPCB / SPCB norms for emissions).
• Collaborate with the pre-sales and engineering teams to prepare highly accurate technical proposals, tenders, and customized solutions for complex applications like refinery process streams and mass spectrometry.

Market Intelligence

• Track competitor activities, market trends, and regulatory changes to adjust sales strategies proactively.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide accurate monthly/quarterly forecasting using CRM tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

• B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation & Control, Electronics, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
• An MBA in Sales/Marketing is an added
• advantage.

Experience & Technical Knowledge

• Minimum 10 years of proven track record in selling environmental or process monitoring equipment.
• Deep technical understanding of gas analyzers, CEMS, CAAQMS, mass spectrometry principles, and refinery process applications.
• Established network with industries, EPC contractors, and environmental consultants in South India (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala).
• Thorough familiarity with CPCB/SPCB guidelines regarding emission monitoring.

Soft Skills

• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and executive-level presentation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, target-driven regional environment.
• Fluency in English and proficiency in regional languages (Kannada, Tamil, or Telugu) is highly preferred.
