Position Purpose:

Serve in a lead capacity as an expert data analyst and may also lead a team. Create and analyzes reports to support operations. Present report findings in a concise manner to appropriate management level. Directly responsible for accuracy of data as financial and operational decisions are made based on the data provided.

Location:

This position is primarily a W@H position with routine onsite visits for meetings and operational functions in Columbia, SC. Please note this is subject to change based on employee performance and or business need.

What You'll Do:

• Review, extract and analyze data to be used in formulation of procedures, processes and other requirements, including data integrity and quality control. Provide reports of relevant activity to be used to identify problematic areas and data anomalies, in order to provide basis for modification and/or elimination of operations issues. Revise existing reports and develops new reports based on changing methodologies. Analyze reports to ensure accuracy and quality. Track and verify all reporting statistics and/or metrics.
• Develop complex analysis and sophisticated data compilation, verification, and interpretations to guide divisional efforts. Create data tools used to identify/modify pertinent data needed to provide supporting documentation for system or operational regulatory reporting.  Design, code, and maintains complex database programs for the extraction and analysis of data to support financial and operational decisions.
• Communicate with and/or trains employees and managers on the complex database programs used to generate analytical data. Document reporting procedures so other staff can run ad hoc reports independently.
• Monitor data for compliance with all applicable regulations and communicates and updates data as necessary. Provide assistance throughout internal and external audits.

To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need the Following:

Required Education: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Healthcare, or other-related field.

Degree Equivalency:

• Associates degree plus an extra 2 years of job-related work experience for a total of 8 years of required work experience (see "required work experience")

OR

• 10 total years required work experience.
  
  

Required Work Experience:

• 6 Years Research and analysis experience.

Requires Skills & Abilities:

• Strong organizational, customer service, communications, and analytical skills.
• Advanced experience using complex mathematical calculations and understand mathematical and statistical concepts.
• Knowledge of relevant computer support systems.
• Ability to train subordinate staff including providing assistance/guidance to staff in design/execution of reporting needs.
• Proven experience with report writing and technical requirements analysis, data and business process modeling/mapping, and methodology development.
• Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices. Knowledge of the healthcare delivery system.

Required Software and Tools:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of programming languages across various software platforms, using DB2, SQL, and/or relational databases.
• Knowledge of tools such as Visual Basic and Macros useful in automating reporting processes

We Prefer That You Have the Following:

• Advanced hands-on coding and automation experience with MS Access, VBA and SAS.
• Experience with Tableau or similar business intelligence tools used for creating dashboards.
• Experience with Python or similar Automation Scripting languages.
