Debtors / Admin Clerk
Our client is an established professional engineering consulting organisation seeking a reliable and detail- oriented Debtors / Admin Clerk to provide accounting, bookkeeping and administrative support directly to the Financial Manager based in Bellville. The successful candidate will take ownership of the full debtors function, while also assisting with general administration, procurement documentation and reception relief. This role would suit an organised individual with strong numerical ability, excellent attention to detail and practical accounting experience. Responsibilities: Debtors & Accounting • Manage the complete debtors function. • Issue invoices and credit notes. • Follow up on outstanding debtor accounts and payments. • Perform debtors reconciliations. • Prepare monthly debtors reports. • Provide general accounting and bookkeeping support to the Financial Manager. • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation. Administration & Procurement • Complete documents for submission to relevant councils. • Assist with NHBRC documentation and completion certificates. • Prepare Tender and PROCSA procurement documentation. • Provide general clerical and administrative support as required.
Reception Support • Provide reception relief for approximately one hour per day. • Cover reception duties when the receptionist is on annual or sick leave. • Assist with general telephone and visitor enquiries when required. Requirements: • Matric. • Proven accounting experience, preferably in a Debtors or Creditors Clerk role. • Approximately 5 years accounting experience preferred, but not essential. • Good understanding of bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures. • Proficiency in Pastel, Excel, Word and MS Office. • Hands-on experience working with Excel spreadsheets. • Strong numerical ability. • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail. • Well organised and able to manage multiple administrative tasks. • Bilingual in English and Afrikaans. • Own reliable transport essential.
