Requirements

 SUMMARY

The Lead Thrift Store Associate provides daily support in sales, customer service, donation

processing, and store upkeep, ensuring that customers and donors experience excellent

service in a Christ-centered environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a key member of the Thrift Store team, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide excellent customer service, assisting shoppers on the floor and at checkout.
• Operate cash registers, handle transactions accurately, and maintain records.
• Assist with merchandising and displays to maximize sales and customer engagement.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the store and donation areas.
• Support volunteers and staff as directed by the Manager.
• Consistently model Wellspring’s mission and values in interactions with customers and donors.
• Oversee all aspects of the Thrift Store’s Poshmark operations, including photographing and listing merchandise, optimizing product descriptions and pricing, monitoring sales activity, responding to customer messages, and ensuring timely packaging and shipment of purchases
• Assist in delegating tasks and responsibilities with the Manager and Assistant Manager, especially when the Manager is not on shift.
• Receive & sort donated merchandise
• Inspect, evaluate, and determine sellable quality
• Price & prepare items for the sales floor
• Meet daily & weekly production goals
• Maintain organization & safety within the processing area and retail floor
• Work closely with team members to keep inventory moving efficiently
• Assist in scheduling volunteers and managing calendars.

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

 QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Available to work Saturdays and flexible shifts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, warehouse, team-oriented environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Basic math and transaction-handling skills.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Wellspring Church.
• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting, bending, and reaching.
• Physical requirements: Constant periods of standing, walking, and other repetitive motions. Occasionally able to lift or move up to 30lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
