Production Line Manager__
Your role and responsibilities
We are now looking for a Production Development Engineer to join our team at ABB System Drives in Helsinki, Finland. In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize manufacturing processes in business line System Drives, which specializes in high-power and high-performance drives. You will develop and refine assembly methods, production workflows, and equipment performance to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also identify improvement opportunities through process analysis and lead implementation of improvement projects adhering to timelines, quality, and budget constraints.
The work model for the role is: hybrid
You will be mainly accountable for:
Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implementing improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements
Promoting a culture of continuous improvement via Lean methodologies and innovative manufacturing practices
Innovating and refining production workflows and engaging actively in development projects
Maintaining detailed production records for analysis and reporting
Qualifications for the role
At least a few years of experience in production process development and proven experience in manufacturing or assembly environments
Strong expertise in lean manufacturing principles, LEAN methods, and various manufacturing techniques
You are self-motivated, solutions-oriented, with strong decision-making and communication skills
You are highly skilled in MS Office, with experience in CAD and simulation software
B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in industrial management, electrical engineering, automation, or related fields
You are at ease communicating in Finnish and English (written and spoken)
