About the Babson Collaborative
The Babson Collaborative for Entrepreneurship Education is a global membership organization that connects universities around the world that are building and strengthening entrepreneurship ecosystems. The Collaborative includes 40 member institutions across 27 countries and provides opportunities for educators and students to collaborate on entrepreneurship education, innovation, research, and global engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Student Assistant will support the Babson Collaborative team in delivering high-impact programs and experiences for a global network of entrepreneurship educators and students.
Communications & Marketing
- Assist with drafting and scheduling emails, newsletters, WhatsApp, and website updates.
- Help standardize and improve the effectiveness of Collaborative communications using templates for emails, flyers, presentation slides, and social media.
- Help maintain content across the Collaborative website and online platforms.
- Support storytelling efforts that highlight member schools, students, and program successes.
- schedule, track, and remind supervisors about emails, newsletters, WhatsApp and LinkedIn posts based on the Collaborative Timeline and supervisor input.
Global Programs & Events
- Assist with planning and administration of the Babson Collaborative Global Student Challenge, an international competition focused on student-led solutions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Help manage promotion, communications, distributing resources, submission process, judging and evaluation.
- Support logistics for webinars, virtual events, and the annual Babson Collaborative Global Summit including gathering materials and supplies to ship
- Help collect presentation materials, organize participant information, and manage event resources.
- Welcome guests and assist with on-campus activities during major events such as giving campus tours to prominent guests and interviewing student challenge winners.
Research, Technology & Innovation
- Explore and apply AI tools to improve workflows, communications, and participant experiences.
- Assist with data collection, reporting, and program assessment.
- Help test and implement new technologies that support global engagement and entrepreneurship education initiatives.
Community Engagement
- Support outreach to member institutions around the world.
- Assist with maintaining participant databases and engagement records.
- Help identify and share opportunities that encourage collaboration among member schools.
General Office Support
- Provide administrative and general project support to Babson Academy staff as needed.
- Participate in weekly team meetings and project check-ins via Webex Teams and email.
Qualifications
We're looking for a student who is:
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- A strong written and verbal communicator.
- Interested in entrepreneurship, higher education, global engagement, marketing, communications, or event planning.
- Curious about AI and emerging technologies.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred, but not required
- Experience with Canva, Airtable, Salesforce, Constant Contact, WebEx, Weebly, web content management systems, video editing, or social media platforms.
- Experience creating presentations, graphics, videos, or digital communications.

Schedule
- Approximately 8-10 hours per week during the academic year.
- Need to be available to work at least 2-3 days a week, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8:30-4:30 pm, in addition to occasional evenings.
- Mostly remote with some in-person work; Flexible schedule based on academic commitments.
- Some in-person work required.
- Occasional evening hours may be needed during special events.
Additional Comments
This is a visible position – students are asked to dress business-casual. There may be times when students are asked to assist with the Babson Academy’s clients and visitors. Students must present themselves in a mature and courteous manner and maintain confidentiality.
