Storage Sales Specialist - Public Sector
Location: UK
Type: Permanent/full time
About the Role
We’re looking for a highly driven and experienced Storage Sales Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth within the public sector by identifying new opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and delivering high-value storage solutions tailored to complex customer needs.
This is a strategic, customer-facing role where you’ll work closely with account teams, partners, and industry experts to build pipeline, influence senior stakeholders, and close impactful deals.
What You’ll Be Doing
Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within the public sector
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, aligned with account strategies
Develop pursuit plans and collaborate closely with account managers
Establish trusted, consultative relationships with customers, including C-level stakeholders
Position solutions effectively by maintaining strong knowledge of competitors and market trends
Lead or support proposals, negotiations, and deal closures
Provide technical expertise and support during customer engagements
Drive renewals and expansion opportunities within mid-sized, complex accounts
Work with internal teams and external partners to design and deliver tailored solutions
Support sales readiness and knowledge transfer across teams
Accurately manage forecasting and opportunity tracking using CRM tools
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
Typically 5–8 years of advanced sales experience, ideally within public sector storage, or enterprise IT
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Strong experience working within a specific industry vertical (defence preferred)
Skills & Expertise
Deep knowledge of storage solutions, IT infrastructure, and related services
Strong understanding of the public sector and its unique challenges
Ability to position complex, high-value solutions in a consultative manner
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience taking deals through the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting to close
Ability to translate technical solutions into clear business value
Strong collaboration skills across sales, technical, and partner teams
Experience working with CRM tools (e.g. Siebel) and maintaining accurate forecasting
