Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Coordination in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and drivers. You will maintain a visible presence, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Verify authorized access for employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by checking identification, credentials, and/or required documentation before permitting entry.
• Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle gates, and access-control systems; document visitor activity, deliveries, and unusual occurrences according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
