Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Reconciliation in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees, contractors, and visitors while supporting site access procedures and responding to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, authorizations, and visitor documentation before permitting entry to restricted areas.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and/or delivery records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information through established channels as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
