THE JOB:
As an Assistant Manager for Beach Bar & Grill at Mandalay Bay, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our vibrant beachside dining outlet while setting the stage for an exceptional guest experience with your welcoming smile and premier service. By understanding our guests' unique stories and needs—whether they are taking a break from the sand or enjoying a casual lunch by our iconic wave pool—you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far beyond their stay, collaborating closely with your team to maintain Mandalay Bay's high-energy, world-class resort standards.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Review daily schedules and manage time off and vacation requests; coach and train on policies, procedures, and performance

• Supervise cashiers to ensure correct policies and procedures for check handling and closing are maintained by service staff as well as manage activities; means of access and egress, to ensure complete compliance with Health Department and Fire Marshall Regulations

• Directly communicate with the Chef on all food service and menu issues

• Assist in seasonal menu changes and holiday menu changes

• Order supplies through the IP System and Purchasing

• Exercise cost controls for all aspects of restaurant operation

• Manage pricing and maintenance issues to ensure checks can be processed correctly

• Direct communication with guests for special requests and large party reservations

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Work Varied Shifts, to include weekends and holidays required

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Service experience in a similar dining environment preferred

• Previous experience as a manager in a high-volume facility or environment preferred

• Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement preferred
