The Industrial Millwright is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance, repair, modification, and installation of production and facility equipment. This role supports continuous plant operations through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment improvements, and collaboration with production and engineering teams.

The successful candidate is a self-motivated team player who demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, works independently with minimal supervision, and consistently adheres to ISO 9001, GMP, and EH&S requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs on production and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose equipment issues and implement timely corrective actions to minimize downtime and support uninterrupted production.
• Modify, rebuild, and upgrade equipment to improve safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Support the installation, commissioning, validation, and transfer of new equipment.
• Lead equipment setup, changeovers, and line dismantling activities as required.
• Design, fabricate, and install fixtures, guards, machine components, and other mechanical devices.
• Perform general facility and building maintenance as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, inspection reports, and shift documentation.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain equipment in accordance with manufacturing and warehouse protocols.
• Train and support operators on equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance practices.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and external contractors to complete maintenance and improvement projects.
• Meet established performance, safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, safety committees, and cross-functional teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Valid Industrial Millwright Certification.

Experience

• 5 to 7 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robotic systems and robotic programming.
• Knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes and safe chemical handling practices.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Licensed Millwright with completion of a recognized apprenticeship program and/or post-secondary technical training.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills on manufacturing equipment and production systems.
• Expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical power transmission, and industrial control systems.
• Proficiency with machining equipment, welding equipment, shop machinery, and hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experience supporting equipment modifications and continuous improvement projects.
• Ability to coordinate work with engineering personnel, contractors, and other trades.
• Strong communication, teamwork, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to operators and maintenance personnel.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including successful completion of a company-designated medical assessment where applicable.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $58,450.00 and 77,930.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
