Position Summary
The Pharmacy Shipping Clerk is responsible for accurately preparing, packaging, and shipping prescription medications and pharmacy-related products to patients, healthcare facilities, and other authorized recipients. This role ensures compliance with pharmacy regulations, shipping procedures, quality standards, and company policies while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process pharmacy orders for shipment.
• Verify prescription information, patient details, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
• Package medications according to pharmacy, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Label packages and prepare shipping manifests and tracking documentation.
• Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely delivery of medications.
• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Inspect packages for accuracy, quality, and compliance before shipment.
• Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and restocking duties.
• Track shipments and resolve delivery issues or discrepancies.
• Maintain clean, organized, and secure shipping and receiving areas.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and safeguard patient confidentiality.
• Adhere to all state, federal, and company regulations regarding medication handling and transportation.
• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with operational tasks as needed.
