Assists in the delivery of patient care by performing assigned individual care activities in a timely and efficient manner under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Demonstrates clear communication, actively seeks clarification when needed, and follows instructions to ensure safe, accurate, and high-quality patient care. Contributes positively to the care team while maintaining a focus on patient safety, dignity, and confidentiality.

Hours: Monday- Friday 7:30AM - 4:00PM

Minimum Education and/or Training:

• High school diploma/GED.
• Graduation from approved school indicating completion of nursing assistant training or completion of foundation of nursing from an accredited nursing program.

Minimum Experience:

• Pediatric experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in providing age appropriate nursing care and education in collaboration with other team members.
• Seek guidance appropriately to ensure optimal implementations of the plan of care and to promote continuity of care.
• Assist in providing nursing care consistent with individualized medical and nursing plans of care, following policy, procedures, and standards of care.
• Document response to education and respond to clinical emergencies. Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
• Request and maintain supplies and equipment in assigned patient care area in collaboration with other disciplines.
• Maintain cleanliness of supply room and equipment in assigned patient care area.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Consistently meet job expectations, adhere to policies, and deliver quality work while applying. St. Jude values and principles. Managers evaluate employee performance throughout the year—specifically through the spring and fall Check In milestones and the Annual Performance Review. All employees are encouraged to actively participate in these performance management processes.
  

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $19.50 - $28.50 per hour for the role of Nursing Care Attendant.
