We are now looking for a Specialist/Senior Specialist, Procurement to join our team in Biskupice Podgórne near Wrocław and/or UPM Business Hub Poland in Wrocław.

“Hi! I invite you to join our enthusiastic Direct Procurement Team in EMEIA, with colleagues based in Poland, Finland and the UK. As Procurement Member, you will play a key role in raw material planning and procurement for our European factories. You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, contributing to supply continuity, inventory optimisation and improved supplier performance. You will be part of a diverse team of procurement professionals helping UPM Adhesive Materials Sourcing & Supply Chain achieve operational excellence. What you will do  

• Ensure raw material availability by providing good quality forecasts and maintaining clear, timely communication with suppliers

• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of forecasting, supply planning and replenishment processes in Advanced Planning Systems (e.g. o9, SAP IBP, Kinaxis), ensuring effective translation of business requirements into procurement planning parameters, supplier collaboration processes and inventory decisions

• Proactively identify and mitigate supply risks, escalating critical constraints and coordinating contingency actions with relevant stakeholders

• Plan raw material replenishment in line with production schedules, supply constraints, storage capacity and inventory targets

• Monitor and manage procurement planning exceptions, proactively driving resolution of supply, inventory, master data and forecast-related issues through cross-functional collaboration

• Coordinate the creation of new raw material codes and vendor records and maintain accurate master data for the assigned scope

• Implement raw material changes resulting from business decisions or product development projects

• Take the lead in minimizing slow-moving and obsolete raw material inventory and coordinate the resale process

• Present procurement topics and recommendations during internal and supplier meetings, provide backup support to other Procurement Specialists based on business needs and the agreed development plan

Who you are  

• You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related discipline

• You have at least 5 years of experience in procurement, material planning, inventory management or a similar role in a manufacturing environment; experience in the paper, film, or converting industry is an advantage

• You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, monitor KPIs and translate findings into practical actions

• You have proactive and independent approach, with the ability to take ownership and drive topics to completion

• You have strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders, you have good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic international environment

• You have good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI is an advantage

• You have experience with Advanced Planning Systems (e.g. o9, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder or similar) and understanding of forecasting, supply planning and inventory planning processes is considered an advantage

• You present continuous improvement mindset and willingness to develop processes, tools and ways of working

• You are fluent in spoken and written English; knowledge of other languages is considered an asset

Additional information about the position 

This position offers a hybrid working model, combining remote work from home with regular on-site collaboration in Biskupice Podgórne and/or UPM Business Hub Poland in Wrocław.

The position holder will report to Manager, Procurement EMEIA.
