Overview

The F&B Captain serves as a lead member of the Food & Beverage team, providing exceptional guest service while supporting the day-to-day operation of the outlet. This role will primarily work as a bartender and server, helping set the standard for service, teamwork, and guest engagement. The F&B Captain will also assist with opening and closing responsibilities as needed, help maintain an organized and efficient work environment, and provide additional support to the team and leadership during service.

• Provide attentive, professional service to guests as a bartender and server.

• Serve as a lead presence on the floor and support the F&B team throughout service.

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes and service standards.

• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, stocking, and securing the outlet.

• Support smooth shift transitions and communicate important information to incoming team members.

• Help maintain proper cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of all F&B areas.

• Assist with monitoring and replenishing bar and service supplies as needed.

• Support team members during high-volume periods to ensure timely and consistent service.

• Help ensure service standards, policies, and procedures are followed throughout the shift.

• Address basic guest concerns and escalate issues to F&B leadership when appropriate.

• Assist with training and providing guidance to new or less experienced team members.

• Accurately process guest checks, payments, and cash transactions in accordance with hotel procedures.

• Follow all responsible alcohol service, food safety, and health and sanitation requirements.

• Perform additional F&B duties as assigned based on operational needs.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Previous bartending and/or serving experience required.

• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of food, beverage, and alcohol service.

• Excellent guest service and communication skills.

• Ability to lead by example and work effectively as part of a team.

• Ability to remain organized and professional in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Must meet all applicable requirements for responsible alcohol service.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds as needed.

• Hotel or resort F&B experience preferred.

For Employees Based in Washington:

• 8 paid holidays per year
• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
• Paid Sick & Safe Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, with up to 72 hours of unused time carried over from one anniversary year to the next.

For Employees Based in Colorado:

• 8 paid holidays per year; employees working in the City of Denver receive 64 hours of designated holiday time per calendar year
• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
• 6 days or 48 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year, accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.

For Employees Based in California:

• 8 paid holidays per year
• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service, capped at 1.5x annual accrual rate; non-supervisory employees working in the City of Los Angeles accrue up to 22 days of Compensated Time Off, based on length of service capped at 192 hours of combined PST and CTO.
• Paid Sick Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, unused time is carried over from one anniversary year to the next up to a maximum of 80 hours; employees working in the City of Los Angeles are provided 40 hours of Paid Sick Time annually on their anniversary, unused time is not carried over from one anniversary year to the next.

For such associates, eligibility for and the terms and conditions of benefits are governed by the applicable CBA and any applicable plan documents, and may differ from the benefits described above.
