We are seeking a talented individual to join our Wealth team at Mercer, a Marsh. This role will be based in New York. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This role will lead US investment operations for Mercer’s Direct Investment Unit (DIU). The DIU is an investment management team that provides multi-asset solutions to cleints. This role will lead an internal team, oversee external vendors and collaborate with our international DIU colleagues.
We will count on you to:
Deliver middle and back-office functions and minimize operational risk.
Support the launching of new client mandates and trading instruments, aligned with the business’ ongoing needs.
Oversee the key outsourced service provider, Arcesium as well as an internal team.
Support the post-trade workflows ensuring trades are booked accurately downstream.
Represent US DIU investment operations on internal project and governance initiatives
Manage custodians, pooled fund providers, other strategic outsourced relationships
What you need to have:
At least 10 years’ experience working in asset management, culminating in a senior operations role.
Proven success in leading a complex investment operations organization with strong client delivery, developing a strong control environment and leading through periods of meaningful change.
Deep experience in operational workflows with derivatives (OTC and exchange traded), funds and cash securities.
History of managing teams and leading the operational interaction with other teams.
A record of implementing changes of new systems, infrastructure, personnel etc.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and operational reporting requirements.
Ability to lead the development of pragmatic solutions to operational challenges
Skill to apply technology for standardization and operational efficiency
